Franz Kafka - Biography

Kafka is a name associated with mystery, absurdity, and profound philosophical reflection. His works, such as "The Process" and "The Castle," became classics of world literature and left an indelible mark on the history of the word. In this biography, we will examine his life, work and the significance of his works.

Franz was born on 3 July 1883 in Prague, part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (now the Czech Republic). He was the eldest son in a family of German-speaking Jews. Education and culture were valued in the family, and this affected Franz's early interests.

Franz studied at the Gymnasium in Prague, where he proved himself to be an excellent student and was interested in literature and philosophy. After graduating from high school, he entered the Faculty of Law at Karl-Ferdinand University, but soon switched to the Faculty of German Studies and Art History.

Early in his career, he worked for an insurance company, which became one of the most famous aspects of his biography. He spent most of his life practicing law and writing his works in his spare time.

Franz Kafka began writing short stories and novels in the early 20th century. His style was unique and different from the literature of his time. His works often contained elements of metaphysics, absurdity and surrealism. He explored the themes of loneliness, the impossibility of communication and the meaninglessness of human fate.

The most famous works of Franz Kafka are "The Process" (Der Process, 1925) and "The Castle" (Das Schloss, 1926). These novels became icons of absurd literature and elicited numerous interpretations and studies from literary critics and philosophers.
