Albert Abraham was born on December 19, 1852 in the city of Prague, which was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire at that time. After the family moved to the United States of America, he entered Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Here he continued his scientific research and became interested in optics and physics.
