The main plot develops around two young people who accidentally meet on the banks of the river in a provincial town. Jesse and Celine - American and French - fall in love at first sight. However, their acquaintance is no coincidence: they deliberately spend the whole night together, despite the fact that Jesse must leave the next morning.As they walk the streets of the city, discussing life, love, art and philosophy, they are faced with questions of their own self-determination and values in life.
