Brother (1997)

The plot of the film tells about the adventures and trials of Danila Bagrov, a young man from the province who becomes embroiled in the world of crime after moving to his brother Viktor in a large Russian city. Victor, a bandit and drug lord, invites Danila to work for him, but Danila faces an internal moral conflict between her ideals and the brutal reality of the world of crime.

The whole film is riddled with themes of family, friendship, betrayal and revenge. Danila and Victor try to find their place in a cruel world, where the law gives way to the law of crime, and each of them chooses his own path, finding himself in different sides of the law.
