A celebrated American writer, she has won millions of readers around the world for her amazing works such as The Queen's Assassin and Traders Livetown. Robin is the pseudonym of American writer Margaret Ogden, born March 5, 1952 in Berkeley, California. Her childhood and adolescence were spent in various places in the United States, as the family moved frequently. This instability and constant changes of residence became an important part of Robin Hobb's biography, and they influenced her writing career.

Robin received a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver, where she studied communications and theater. She also received a master's degree from Space Western University, specializing in the arts and education. Her education in communications and theater, as well as her interest in history and fantasy, shaped her creative view of the world and inspired her writing.

Robin Hobb began her literary career under different pseudonyms and in different genres, but real success came to her with the appearance of the character Fitzchivaldon in the novel Assassin's Apprentice, published in 1995 under the pseudonym Robin Hobb. This novel was the beginning of the epic saga The Farseer Trilogy, which tells about the adventures of a young assassin.

Robin Hobb's next books, including Royal Assassin and Assassin's Quest, continued the story of Fitzchivaldon and his difficult relationship with the royal family. This trilogy was met with a warm reception from critics and readers and became a bestseller.
