Johnson is a name that has become synonymous with legendary speed and uncompromising superiority on the treadmill. Born on September 17, 1967 in Dallas, Texas, Johnson has shown incredible talent and passion for athletics since childhood.

Mike grew up in a sporting family and his parents have always supported his pursuit of the sport. He initially developed an interest in baseball, but soon discovered that his true passion was running. During his school years, he stood out on the treadmill, and already in 1987, as a student at Baylor University, Mike became a top-class athlete.

Mike made his first blast on the world athletic scene in 1991 when he claimed the gold medal in the 200 metres at the Tokyo World Championships. But that was just the start of his impressive career.

At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, ​ ​ Mike won his first Olympic medal - silver in 4x400 meters. However, the real moment of fame came for him at the next Olympic Games in 1996 in Atlanta. There he showed the world his incredible speed and resilience, winning two gold medals in the 200m and 400m.

Mike Johnson continued his dominance in the world of athletics and took gold in various competitions. But his real historic win was competing in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. There he decided to face an incredible challenge - an attempt to win two gold medals at the Olympics in the 200 meters and 400 meters, which no one has yet succeeded.

And Mike coped with that challenge. He not only won both medals, but also set new world records in both disciplines. His time of 43.49 seconds in the 400m remains unbeaten so far.
