Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Martin Luther King Sr., a priest, and Alberta Williams King. He was the second child in the family and grew up in an environment where the values of Christianity and morality were central. His parents taught him respect for human dignity and the struggle for justice.

Martin was a talented student and successfully completed high school at the age of 15. He later attended Morehouse University in Atlanta and then Boston University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He continued his education at Crocker Seminary at Cornell University, where he studied theology and morality.

After receiving priesthood and service at his father's church, Martin Luther King Jr. decided to devote his life to fighting for social justice and equality. His spiritual vocation and conviction in non-violence became the basis of his struggle for civil rights.

He led the African American civil rights movement and became a leader of the All-American Communities Union (SCLC), an organization dedicated to fighting for the end of racial discrimination. His approach to struggle was based on non-violence and passive resistance inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy.
