Laura Ingolds Wilder began writing her books in adulthood. Her first book, "Little House in the Big Woods" (1932), chronicled her childhood and life on a Wisconsin farm. This book was the first in a series that included works such as "Little House on the Prairie" (1935), "On the Banks of Plum Creek" (1937) and many others. They described the lives of pioneers and families facing difficulties but maintaining their hope and mutual assistance.

Her books quickly became bestsellers and won the hearts of readers of all ages. They also inspired the popular television series "Little House on the Prairie," which delighted viewers for many years.
