David John Moore Cornwell, better known as John Le Carré, was born on October 19, 1931 in Poole, Dorset, UK. His childhood was complex and determined his future in many ways. After leaving school, John Le entered the University of Oxford, where he studied modern languages. Subsequently, he joined the British intelligence agency MI5 and then MI6, where he spent some time in Germany and other countries, engaged in intelligence activities. These experiences became the basis for his future spy novels.
