Guangjia, or Jiang Guangzhou, is a name that will forever be associated with China's history and politics. This outstanding leader, politician and military leader played a key role in the formation and development of modern China. Jiang was born on August 17, 1902 in Taipei, Taiwan, then under Japanese rule. His early years were marred by difficulties and instability, but he developed an early interest in politics and military affairs.

Service in the Red Army and active participation in the Chinese Revolution of the 1920s brought him the first share of fame and political experience. He soon became one of the key figures in the communist movement in China and a close associate of Mao Zedong.
