Jean Guirodou - Biography

In 1838, at the age of 14, Girodu entered the Paris School of Fine Arts, where he received a quality art education. His talent was pronounced, and he began to study and work together with other talented artists of his time, such as Camille Corot and Theodore Rousseau.

At first he worked as a portrait painter, but soon he turned his attention to painting landscapes. His work began to attract critical and public attention, and he received acclaim for his still lifes and landscapes depicting the beauty of France's nature.

Jean was deeply inspired by nature and spent a lot of time outdoors exploring its beauty and diversity. His landscapes often reflected the harmony between nature and man, and he tried to convey it in his works.
