Geoffrey Chaucer is a name that stands on centuries in the world of literature. His contribution to 14th-century English poetry and culture cannot be overstated. Geoffrey was born in 1343, probably in London, the son of a winemaker and property owner. Little is known about his early life, but it is assumed that he was educated in St. Petersburgh Church School and subsequently studied at the University of London.
