Gene Hackman After completing his military service, Hackman began studying acting at an acting school in Pasadena, California. He sought to develop his talent and attempt a career on screen.

Hackman made his big screen debut in Madame, I'm Adam (1962), followed by many prominent roles in films such as The Brothers Karamazov (1958), Don't Call the Police (1967), French Liaison (1971) and The Godfather II "(1974).

One of the most striking and memorable characters played by Hackman was his role in the film Dirty Dancing (1987), where he played the role of a tough and conservative father who opposed his daughter's romantic relationship.
