Tribe (2014)

"Tribe" takes place in the tough world of deaf teenagers living in a distant boarding school in Ukraine. Separated from society and adults, these teenagers form their own hierarchy based on strength, cruelty and silence. The protagonist, Serega, a new student at the boarding school, faces the brutal reality of life in this gang-dominated world and the principle of "the right of the strong."

The film explores the themes of silence and isolation in which these teenagers are forced to live, and also reveals the complex relationships between the characters, where trust and betrayal play a key role. The camera does not look away from the realities of life in the boarding school, showing the cruelty, immorality and vulnerability of each character.

Through everyday scenes of boarding school life, such as street fights, theft, forced adultery and abortion, the film reveals the dark and unpleasant aspects of the lives of these teenagers, carelessly abandoned by society.
