Theory of everything (2014)

The film follows the life of Stephen Hawking, beginning with his undergraduate years at Oxford in the 1960s, when he was a young and ambitious physicist full of ideas and a passion for science. However, at the very beginning of his career, Hawking learns about his serious illness - amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which gradually deprives him of the ability to move and speak.

Despite the diagnosis, Hawking continues his research and becomes one of the most influential scientists in the world. Together with his first wife Jane and their family, he overcomes many obstacles related to his state of health, and reaches world recognition for his discoveries in the field of cosmology and quantum physics.

However, against the backdrop of success in science, the relationship between Stephen and Jane begins to break down under the influence of the pressure and difficulties they have to face. The film explores their complex relationship as well as the impact of illness on Hawking's life and career.
