The Lives of Others (2006)

The plot of the film takes place in 1984 in East Berlin, where the Ministry of State Security (Stasi) strictly controls society and monitors every step of citizens. The main character, Captain Wiese, a Stasi agent, is tasked with watching the famous playwright Georg Draiman and his partner Christiana, suspected of unpatriotic activities.
