Shakespeare in Love (1998)

The plot develops in 16th-century London, where the young and talented writer William Shakespeare, in search of inspiration for his new work, meets a young and beautiful woman named Viola De Leseps. Viola is a passionate admirer of Shakespeare's work and dreams of becoming an actress in his theater, although women are forbidden to perform on stage in theaters of that time.

Disguised as a man, Viola infiltrates the male world of theater and participates in the production of a new work by Shakespeare, who is writing a play about love and passion, inspired by his feelings for Viola. In the process of preparing the play, a deep and sincere love arises between Shakespeare and Viola, but their romantic relationship threatens the social and cultural norms of that time.
