Old people don't belong here (2007)

The plot takes place in Texas, where Lew Anthon, played by Josh Brolin, accidentally finds the remains while hunting. Stumbling upon a bag of two million dollars, he decides to take the money for himself. But this act is the beginning of a series of events that draw him into a world of crime, violence and a merciless struggle for survival.

Thrust into the criminal underworld, Lew encounters criminal gangs and a psychopathic hitman named Anthon Chigur, performed by Javier Bardem. Chigur, with icy composure, begins pursuing Lew and anyone else connected to the stolen money in his deadly game.

At the same time, Sheriff Ed Tom Bell, played by Tommy Lee Jones, is trying to clean up the town, but faces helplessness in the face of a wave of violence and crime. His inner monologue and reasoning about the world and human nature permeates the entire tape, giving it a philosophical connotation and depth.

The film immerses the viewer in the atmosphere of the American South, its vastness, mentality and traditions, representing a dark and cruel world where the law of the jungle seems to be the only rule. The tense cat-and-mouse game between Lew and Chigur pulls the tension strings to the limit, leaving the viewer waiting for the inevitable collision.
