Office space (1999)

The main character of the film, Peter Gibbons, works in a medium-sized office, where he is stuck in the boring and monotonous routine of his work. He feels oppressed and unsatisfied with his life, especially after his boss starts constantly asking boring questions about his Friday night job.

Inspired by his friend's carelessness, Peter decides to change his life and begins to treat the work with ease and insouciance. He stops worrying about his responsibilities and starts spending more time on nice things like sleeping at work and playing on the computer.

However, instead of being punished for his indifference, Peter gets an unexpected career boost by becoming a well-paid employee. He also begins dating a colleague named Lumberg, who gives him valuable advice on how to work his way up the career ladder.

In the course of his journey, Peter faces various situations, including conflicts with his superiors, romantic relations with a colleague, and even suspicions of hacking into his company's computer system.
