Mary and Max (2009)

The film begins with a young girl named Mary Daisy Dinkel discovering an address in a telephone directory and writing a letter to a stranger, asking him for help in answering the question: "Where do children come from? ". This stranger, Max Gerard Horowitz, turns out to be an elderly autistic man living in New York City.
