Twenty-seven years after the events of the first part, members of the Losers club return to their hometown of Derry to once again face nightmares from childhood and end the bloody evil known as Penywise. After the boy disappears, strange and creepy events begin to occur in the city, reminding them that nightmares can return.

Bill, Beverly, Ben, Richie, Eddie and Mike re-unite to confront Penivise and his sinister powers. Each of them must face their own fears and demons of the past in order to find the strength to fight them.

In an attempt to unravel Penywise's secrets and his connection to their own past, the Losers are forced to return to childhood and reconsider their darkest memories.
