Forbidden Planet (1956)

The film takes place in the distant future, when humanity begins to explore space in search of new worlds and possible forms of life. The crew of the spacecraft "Space Cruising Team North Star" receives an SOS signal from the mysterious planet Althair-4 and goes in search of it.

Upon arriving on the planet, the team discovers that it is inhabited only by Dr. Morbius, his daughter Alteira, and Robby the robot. They learn that much of the remnants of technology and infrastructure on the planet belong to an ancient, highly advanced civilization known as the Creators, which disappeared many thousands of years ago.

As the team begins their research, it becomes clear to them that a dark mystery is lurking on the planet related to the Creators' terrible past. Exploring the planet becomes a struggle for survival when team members encounter unknown forces that seek to impede their exploration and harm.
