Genres of literature

Genres of literature are categories or groups of works that share similarities in form, content, or style. Literary genres provide the basis for classifying and analyzing works, and help readers navigate the variety of literary texts. 1. Epic genre
This genre includes works in which the main focus is on the description of events and the actions of the heroes. Epic genres include novel, novella, epic, and short story. These works are usually broadly structured, covering long time gaps and a large number of characters.
