Reflecting death

Marina, leaning her hand on the tile wall in the bathroom, looked in the mirror. She was never a person who cared about appearance. Today, however, something has changed. In front of her stood a girl who suddenly realized that she was not at all beautiful.

This thought struck Marina. Her whole life path was permeated with her mother's conviction: keeping track of your appearance is bad. But today, for the first time, she thought about what she looks like, and how it affects the opinion of others, especially the opinion of a particular boy.

It was her brother who became interested in why she began to devote less time to lessons and more often disappears alone with herself. He wanted to find out what was happening to her and help if possible.

Marina looked at him gratefully and smiled. His care and attention was like a ray of light in a dark corridor for her. She felt a little lighter knowing she had the support of a loved one.

Gradually, she realized that the most important thing is not the appearance, but who she is inside. Her intelligence, her character, her kindness, that's what really matters. And if she can accept and love herself for who she is, then others will do the same.
