This book, written in the "stream of consciousness" technique, became a bestseller and is considered one of the greatest American literary works. She describes the protagonist Sal Paradise's journey through the United States and the inner world, leaving a deep mark on the hearts of readers.

Together with Allen Ginsberg and William Burroughs, he became one of the leading representatives of the beat movement. The movement was a national and cultural revolution that expressed the spirit of post-war America's generation, and Jack became its literary symbol.
