Farley Mowat - Biography

Mowat (Farley Mowat) is a name that is associated with an ardent passion for wildlife, biological diversity and literary art. Born on May 12, 1921, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada, his life and career left an indelible mark on the world of literature and conservation.

Farley spent his childhood and adolescence in Canada, where his passion for nature and animals manifested itself from a very young age. After graduating from high school, Farley entered the University of Toronto, where he studied biology and natural history. Farley began his literary career in 1952 with the publication of his first book, People of the Deer. This book chronicled his travels and explorations among the Inuit in the Northern Peninsula. She became a bestseller and brought recognition to Mowat as an author and natural scientist.

Farley Mowat's subsequent books, such as Lost in the Barrens, The Dog Who Wouldn't Be, and Never Cry Wolf, were also successful and continued his nature theme and adventures in the wild. His writing style was light and painterly, and his work was extremely popular with readers of all ages.

Farley was not only a writer but also a conservation activist. His books and lectures have often raised questions about the need to protect wildlife and combat environmental threats.
