Timothy Miles was born on November 10, 1944 in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, UK. His musical inspiration came from childhood, and he began to show interest in writing and words. As a young man, Tim wrote poetry and lyrics, and his talent was evident.

The first successes came to Tim Rice in the 1960s, when he began a collaboration with musician Andrew Lloyd Webber. Their first musical, "Jesus Christ Superstar" (1970), was an instant hit and brought them worldwide acclaim. Tim's lyrics and the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber soared, and they continued to create masterpieces together.

One of Tim and Andrew Lloyd Webber's most successful and significant projects was the musical "Yosif and His Amazing Technical Color Coat" (1968). This musical brought them their first big success and popularity. Songs written by Tim Rice, such as "Any Dream Will Do" and "Close Every Door," became popular hits.

However, the real breakthrough was the musical Superstar (1970), which tells the story of Jesus Christ. This project brought them world fame and turned Tim into one of the most sought-after text writers in the world of musicals.
