Slavomir (Slawomir Mrozek) was born on June 29, 1930 in Borjomi, Georgian SSR, then part of Poland. His family was Polish and he spent his childhood in Poland. In his youth, he studied at the Faculty of Architecture, but soon realized that his true vocation was in literature and art.

Mrožek began his literary career in the late 1940s. His first works were poems and short stories, but he soon began to pay attention to drama. His plays and screenplays quickly gained popularity and recognition, and he began publishing in various publications and productions in theaters.

The most famous works of Slavomir Mrozhek include such plays as "Dancing on Ice" ("Tango"), "Midnight Vigils" ("Vigil"), "The Emigrants" ("Laughter"), "Carlson" ("Carlson") and many others. His works were distinguished by wit, satire and a deep understanding of human nature.

Slavomir Mrozhek is considered one of the great satirists and playwrights of the 20th century. His work often reveals the absurdity of being and the immorality of human behavior. He sharply criticized society and politics, using humor and irony as his tools. His influence on the literary and theatrical arts is hard to overstate, and his works continue to be supplied and studied worldwide.

In the early 1960s, he decided to leave Poland and lived in various countries, including France and Italy. His decision is related to political changes in Poland and censorship of his work. However, he continued to create and write, remaining an active participant in the world literary scene.
