Ray became known as a master of science fiction and fantasy reality. His works often explore themes of censorship, loss of individuality, and the influence of technology on humanity. Fahrenheit 451 became an allegorical work on the prohibition of books and freedom of speech, and The Martian Chronicles offered a fascinating vision of the colonization of Mars.
