Philip Larkin - Biography

Larkin went to Oxford University, where he studied English literature. At university, he met other talented writers and poets, which inspired him to be active. His first poems were published in student publications, and they already demonstrated his literary talent.

After graduation, he began working in a library in Birmingham and continued to write poetry. His first book of poetry, "The Collectors," was published in 1955 to the admiration of critics and readers. His poetry was distinguished by a clear style, vivid images and deep psychological analysis of human relationships and emotions.

Larkin became one of the most respected and recognized poets of his time. His poems, such as "Etirodes on Morning Themes," "Anna Spring," and "Love Late," became classics of English poetry. Personal life was modest and quite complicated. He remained single and had no children. His relationships with women were often unsuccessful, and this was reflected in his poetry, where he explored themes of loneliness, loss and inferiority. Internal conflicts and emotional difficulties became an important part of his work.
