Max Frisch - Biography

Max was born into a wealthy family and received a quality education. He attended grammar school before attending the University of Zurich, where he studied German literature and art history. His education was wide and deep, which affected his future literary activities.

The first works of Max Frisch were in the genre of poetry, but he soon began to experiment with prose. His debut novel, "How I Spent the Summer" (1947), attracted the interest of readers and critics. This novel explored the theme of identity and finding oneself, which became a characteristic feature of his work.

However, the real breakthrough for Max Frisch was the novel "Through the Wall" (1954). In this work, he explores issues of self-determination and relationships between people. The novel became a bestseller and received recognition both in Switzerland and abroad.

In addition to literature, Max Frisch was also involved in drama. His plays, such as "Biography: All My Time" (1947) and "Andorra" (1961), became famous in theatrical circles. "Andorra" particularly drew attention for its anti-totalitarian themes and relevance to contemporary public issues.

In 1968, Max published one of his most famous works, the novel Immortal for Mary. This novel explores the theme of human loneliness and the thirst for immortality. It won many awards and became a classic of Swiss and world literature.
