Masami Kurumada - Biography
Kurumada was born on December 6, 1953 in Japan. His interest in art and manga developed from early childhood, and he began drawing his first comics as early as his school years. His talent and passion for drawing were key factors in his future career.After graduating from high school, Masami entered the Art School in Tokyo, where he deepened his skills and knowledge in manga and art. His education gave him technical skills and inspired him to create his own works.
Masami became the most popular thanks to his work "The Sacred Sword and Legends of the Holy Wars" (Saint Seiya). The manga was first published in 1986 and became a huge success both in Japan and outside the country. She tells the story of young warriors, known as the Sacred Warriors, who fight to defend Athens and restore peace.
"Sacred Sword and Legends of Holy Wars" was adapted into an anime series that also became popular. This project made Masami Kurumada famous worldwide and established him as one of the greatest mangaks in history.
In addition to "Holy Sword," Masami Kurumada has created many other successful manga and anime series. His works such as "The Shining of Pegasus" (B't X), "The Art of the Fire Warrior" (Ring ni Kakero), and "The Art of the Fire Warrior: A Long Waiting Day" (Ring ni Kakero 2) also gained popularity and earned critical and fan acclaim.
Masami had a significant influence on the Shonen manga genre, introducing elements of mythology, mysticism and battles into it. His work represents resilience, friendship and the pursuit of excellence, and it has inspired readers and viewers for decades.
