Nikolaevich Tolstoy is one of the loudest and most respected names in world literature and philosophy. A Russian writer, thinker and philosopher, he left an indelible mark on cultural history and is considered one of the greatest writers of all time. Leo was born on September 9, 1828 in Yasnaya Polyana, near Tula, into a noble aristocratic family. Leo's most famous and important work was the novel War and Peace (1865-1869). An epic story about Napoleon's wars with Russia and the fate of the main characters brought Tolstoy worldwide recognition and fame. Another important work was the novel "Anna Karenina" (1875-1877), which tells about the complex feelings and moral dilemmas of the main characters. This work also received worldwide recognition and became one of the greatest novels about love and human relationships.
