Julia was born on August 20, 1954 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She spent her childhood and adolescence in small towns in Germany and Canada, as her father, a geophysicist, often changed jobs. From an early age, Julia showed an interest in literature and writing, and her parents always supported her in this.

After graduating from high school, Julia entered the University of Göttingen, where she studied Romance philology and English literature. She also studied at the Goethe Institute of Literature and received a master's degree in comparative literature.

Julia began her literary career as a freelance writer and journalist. She wrote articles for various newspapers and magazines, and worked as an editor. However, real success came to her after the publication of her first book, "Tablets of Sin" ("Das Kreuz des Südens") in 1998.

"Tablets of Sin" became a bestseller and brought Julia Enders worldwide recognition. This work of literature, mixing elements of romance, drama and philosophy, tells about the life and search for the meaning of the main character. The book was quickly translated into numerous languages and sold in millions of copies.

However, Julia's real worldwide success was the book "The God of Little Things" ("Der kleine König Dezember"), published in 2008. This work became an international bestseller and was translated into more than 40 languages. "God of the little things" tells about the meeting of a person with God and about the search for meaning in the world, and the main idea of ​ ​ the book - finding beauty in the little things of life, caused deep reflections among readers.
