Cash (1932-2003) is a name that has become a symbol of authentic American music. The man in black, as he was nicknamed, left an indelible mark on the history of country and rock music. His deep lyrics, melodic voice and genuine passion for music made him one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. In this biography, we take a look at Cash's life and musical legacy.

Johnny was born on February 26, 1932, in Kingsland, Arkansas, to a farming family. His childhood was spent in difficult conditions during the Great Depression, and this affected his late music, which often reflected themes of poverty, loss and justice.

Cash's musical roots extended into authentic American genres such as blues, gospel, and country music. He began playing guitar in early childhood and developed an interest in music. During his service in the United States Air Force in World War II, he became acquainted with various genres of music and began to compose his own songs.

After returning from the army, Johnny began his musical career, recording his first record in 1955. His characteristic baritone and sensual style of performance immediately attracted the attention of listeners. He signed to the famous Sun Records label, where he made his first hits such as "Cry, Cry, Cry" and "I Walk the Line." The latter became one of Cash's most famous songs and his signature tune.

However, it wasn't just the musical style that made Cash unique. His songs often described life in the American South, told about prisoners in prisons and explored themes of faith, justice and human relations. His authenticity and ability to open his soul in music made his music deeply moving.

Johnny became known not only for his music, but also for his "Man in Black" image. This became his symbol of protest and social activism. actively opposed the Vietnam War and advocated for minority rights and the fight against social injustice. His songs, such as "Man in Black," were vivid examples of his social and political influence.
