Milton (1608-1674) is a name that represents the greatness of English literature and literary classicism. John was born on December 9, 1608 in London, into a middle-class family. His father, also named John Milton, was a musician and secretary. Mother, Sarah Jeffreys, was a homemaker. Young received a quality education, starting with private teachers, then enrolling in St. Petersburg School and then at Cambridge University. At Cambridge, he studied classics, Latin and Greek, which had a significant impact on his future work.

After completing his education in Cambridge, he went on a trip to Europe, where he continued his student research and got acquainted with the culture of various countries. During this period, he traveled to France and Italy, where he especially deepened his knowledge of classical literature and art. These journeys had a significant impact on his literary vision and style.

After returning to England, John began his literary career. His early works included poems and essays in which he expressed his political and religious beliefs. During this time he also worked as a teacher and teacher, sharing his knowledge with others.

However, the real pearl of his work was the poem "Paradise Lost," which Milton began to write in 1658 and completed in 1667.
