Hideki Anno - Biography

Anno was born on May 22, 1960 in Ube, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. His interest in animation and art was evident from an early age. At a young age, he began creating his own animated shorts and drawing manga. As he matured, his passion for animation only intensified.

After graduating from high school, he entered Tokyo University of the Arts, where he studied animation and cinema. His education became the foundation for the development of his skills and style in animation.
