He graduated BA from Bowen College (Bowdoin College) in 1825 and began his literary career teaching language and literature in the early stages. During this period he also began writing poetry and articles.

Longfellow became famous for his poems and works, which gained popularity both in America and beyond. He was one of the first American poets whose work received worldwide recognition. His works included poems, essays and epic poems.

One of his most famous and influential works was the poem The Song of Hiawatha, published in 1855. This epic poem, inspired by Native American mythology and culture, became popular not only in the United States, but also abroad and had a significant impact on American literature and art.
