George Garrison - Biography

Harrison was born on 25 February 1943 in Liverpool, England. He was the youngest of four children in the family of Luis and Louise Garrison. His childhood passed in the postwar years, and as a young man he faced many challenges that shaped his character and musical vision.

George developed an interest in music from an early age. In 1956, he bought his first guitar and began to actively learn to play it. Together with friends, John Lennon and Paul McCartney, he created the band The Quarrymen, which later became the basis for The Beatles. An important moment in his musical development was meeting John Lennon and Paul McCartney at school parties, where they began performing popular songs of the time.

After leaving school, George got a job and continued to play in local bands. He also became actively interested in Eastern culture, spirituality and meditation, which became an important aspect of his personal life and musical creativity.

In 1960, George joined The Beatles, becoming the fourth member of the band. From that moment his musical legend began. The Beatles became one of the most influential and successful bands in the history of music, and George made a significant contribution to their sound. His guitar prowess and songwriting ability brought new elements to the band's music.

George Garrison wrote some of The Beatles' most famous songs including "Something," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "Here Comes the Sun." His musical contributions undoubtedly inspired many musicians and left an indelible mark on the world of rock music.

After the Beatles broke up in 1970, George began his solo career. His first solo album, "All Things Must Pass," was recognized as a musical masterpiece and was a huge success. The album included hits such as "My Sweet Lord," which became the anthem of the hare krishna movement.
