Boris is a pseudonym under which Anatoly Brusnikin is hiding. He was born on May 20, 1956 in the city of Zyryansk, Yakutia, USSR. His childhood and youth passed in Moscow, where he began to show interest in literature and art. He studied at Moscow State University, where he studied history and philology. Education and knowledge of history became important components of his future literary career.

Boris began his literary career as an author of historical studies and monographs. However, his real breakthrough was the publication of the first book about his famous detective Erasmus Raskolnikov. This book, called Azazel (2000), became the first part of a series of detectives about Raskolnikov and gained immense popularity.

The series about Raskolnikov became known as "Historical Detectives" and includes such works as "Turkish Gambit" (2005), "Investigation" (2006) and "Leviathan" (2008). These novels combine elements of the detective genre, historical drama and cultural analysis, which makes them unusually fascinating and allows readers to immerse themselves in the realities of Russia in the 19th century.

In addition to detectives, Boris is also famous for his historical novels. His works, such as "The Diamond Chariot" (2008) and "The Spy Novel" (2019), draw on in-depth studies of the historical events and cultural features of the eras he describes.
