Alexander Romanovich was born on March 16, 1884 in the Kursk province, Russian Empire. He was the fifth child in the family and grew up in an atmosphere of natural beauty and rural life. These early impressions of nature and the environment greatly influenced his future work.

After graduating from high school, Alexander entered the law faculty of Moscow University, but soon realized that his true vocation was in literature. He began to write short stories and novels, but the real literary debut was the story "The Head of Professor Dowel," published in 1925. This story attracted the attention of readers and critics, and it became the starting point in a literary career.

Alexander Belyaev was known for his science fiction works, which often combined adventure, technological discoveries and philosophical questions. His novel "Amphibian Man" (1928) is about a young scientist who transforms into an amphibian and plunges into the underwater world. This book became a classic of Russian science fiction and aroused great interest in the study of the oceans.

Another important work was the novel "Ariel" (1926), which tells about the meeting of a person with aliens from space and their impact on humanity. This novel raises philosophical questions about the meaning of life and the sudden change in human destiny.
