Nicole Kidman Nicole Mary Kidman was born on June 20, 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her parents, Anthony David Kidman and Janet Mary Kidman, were Australians, and the family moved to Sydney, Australia when Nicole was four years old. As a child, she showed interest in theater and acting, and at the age of 16 she entered the Australian National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney.

Early in her career, Nicole Kidman starred in a number of Australian films, receiving recognition for her talent and professionalism. However, her worldwide fame came in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when she began acting in Hollywood films. Some of Nicole Kidman's more notable works include:
