Meryl Streep Meryl made her debut on the big screen in the early 1970s, and since then her film career has been the personification of success and recognition. She successfully coped with a wide variety of roles, showing her unique acting skills. Some of her outstanding works include:

• "Kramer vs. Kramer" (1979): The drama for which she was awarded her first Oscar, for playing a strong and emotionally open woman facing difficult family trials.

• "Iron Lady" (2011): Biographical drama, where she recreated the image of the legendary British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, for which she was again awarded the Oscar.

• "The Silence of the Lambs" (1991): Thriller, where she played the role of a professional serial killer hunter, bringing her a third Oscar.
