Mel Gibson - Biography

Mel Gibson After leaving school, Mel Gibson attended the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, which he successfully completed, beginning his acting career in theatre and television.

His first major film roles came with "Gallipoli" (1981) and "The Country Where Honey Flows" (1984). However, the real breakthrough in Gibson's career came with the film Lethal Weapon (1987), where he played the role of detective Martin Riggs. The film was a box office hit and launched a series of films.

In 1995, Mel Gibson made his directorial debut with "Braveheart," which he also starred in. The film won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, establishing Gibson as a talented and influential director.

He also directed other successful films such as "No Face" (1997), "Jezebel" (1999) and "Christ Salvation" (2004). As an actor, he went on to appear in films such as "Passenger 57" (1992), "Ghosts of Hell" (1995) and "Machete Kills" (2010).

Mel Gibson continues his film career, acting in films and directing new projects. His talent and impact on the film industry remain unquestioned and his work continues to inspire and entertain audiences around the world.
