After graduating from high school, Duchovny went to Preston College in Vermont, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in English literature. After that, he continued his education at Yale University, where he studied acting.

David Duchovny began his acting career in the late 1980s and quickly gained popularity thanks to a number of outstanding roles in film and television:

• "The X-Files" (1993-2002): In this cult television series, Duchovny played the role of FBI special agent Fox Mulder, which brought him worldwide fame and critical acclaim.
